Cultural identity is an exploration of my cultural background and dual upbringing. I incorporated aspects from my English heritage and Filipino culture to create a range of woven textiles pieces that I have embellished with lino printing and machine embroidery.

“Culture is a strong part in people’s lives” Being bicultural has taught me about the different traditions my dual upbringing holds; Filipino culture, lifestyle, traditional food, the indigenous archipelago. By taking the time to understand our own cultural background, it gives us the perspective and understanding about who we are.
